Watch appointment status option in Global Configuration – Options – Operatory. This option instructs YAPI to synchronize patient’s movements with Open Dental appointment status. For example, when you change appointment status in Open Dental  to indicate that the patient is in a treatment room, YAPI automatically moves patient from check-in area to appropriate area in Dashboard. For this feature to work flawlessly names of operatories in YAPI must be exactly the same as in Open Dental (please watch for extra blanks or special characters).  YAPI will fail moving the patient if there is no associated chair/operatory in Dashboard (no name match), or operatory is occupied or is out-of-service.
