Since PracticeWorks PMS doesn’t offer a robust document storage that handles multi-page  PDF documents YAPI provides its own Document Center.

Additionally to enabling  YAPI Document Center in Global Configuration you can setup a PW AutoLink that will conveniently open YAPI Document Center for a given patient once you click on Clipboard’s Action button.

At first, please make sure that PracticeWorks to YAPI Document Center app is installed on all computers that run YAPI. Here is how: click Tools button, select Administrative Tools, then Open Application Folder.

YAPI opens application folder. Find PWDocBridge folder and double click to open

Inside the folder, find Setup1.msi file and double click to run. Note that depending on your computer settings you may be required to have an administrative privileges.

To configure AutoLink, select any patient and open a Clipboard.  Right click on Actions button and select Define AutoLinks

On Current Autolinks for ClipboardActionBtn button event window click Add button.

Select Run another application as a response type and click OK button

Type YAPI Document Center in Description field and

YAPIPWDocBridge “<PersonID>” “<FirstName>” “<LastName>”

in Command line field, then click OK button.

Now when you click on Clipboard’s Action button you will be able to launch YAPI Document Viewer by selecting YAPI Document Center link button.
