YAPI offers online HIPAA acknowledgement form allowing patients to view your HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices and submit an acknowledgement that they received and read your Notice.
When on the form, a patient clicks HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices link to view your Notice.
When acknowledgement is submitted it comes back into your practice and will be stored in YAPI Document Queue under patient’s name.
The setup includes two steps. First, you need to make your HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices available on the Internet as a PDF file and tell YAPI the location of the file.
Launch Global Setup, go to Online tab, and enter the location of your HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices. Note that it can be a PDF document or an HTML document since both documents can be displayed in a patient Web browser.

Secondly, you need to install HIPAA acknowledgement form locally on your system. To install, launch Manage Documents and Templates, go to Public tab, select HIPAA form, click the link, and select Install locally option.
